Purple Lips : The Gloss

Hello! Sorry I know I'm a bit late in putting the Purple Lip looks but I've been quite busy this month but regardless they will be going up!

Look number one is the Purple Gloss, for those who want a hint of the trend but aren't comfortable rocking that full lip, or for those who just enjoy gloss!
The Lip gloss that will be the star feature in this post is the W7 gloss in 'Glitz and Glam'; it's a sheer purple with flecks of pink and blue, the gloss  isn't too sticky and it smells like vanilla, looks beautiful on the lips.
For this look I decided to go natural, I wore a light gold peach shade with black liquid liner and bronze on the water line. The gloss just adds that slight sheen and hint of colour without over powering the look; This is my go to only have 5 minutes to do my make up for work look. Simple yet pretty.

Purple Lips : Introduction

Purple lips have been a big hit lately, I've seen countless celebrities rocking it, from Little Mix's Perrie to Katy Perry and, of course, Lorde.
I  think Purple can look amazing on everyone as long as you go for a shade that suits your skin tone and your overall colouring. It's a nice change from those nudes, reds and pinks that we all go for and it can really make you stand out from the crowd.
My first tip to wearing ANY colour is feeling comfortable, you need to feel good in what you wear, whether that be clothing or make up wise. When your comfortable you elude confidence which makes you look just that much better and of course feel better.

Throughout this week I'll be posting 4 different looks that feature a Purple lip; A subtle purple glossed lip, A Pinky/Purple lip (for those of you not 100 percent confident going all out), A Metallic deep Purple, and finally, A full on Blue toned Purple matte lip.
So keep a look out for those throughout the week.

Here are some quick tips to remember when wearing Purple Lips;

- If your purple lipstick/gloss is more of a blue toned or dark purple it can sometimes make you look a little washed out or dead looking so make sure you liven up your face and add some subtle warmth unless of course your working towards achieving that 'death' look .
- You don't have to wear neutral colours on your eyes, you can rock other colours when wearing a purple lip, it's all about experimentation and seeing what looks good.
- I do recommend wearing a Lip Liner when wearing Purple Lipstick due to the fact that it can bleed around the edges and since it is a statement lip we want to keep it looking nice and neat. (you can wear a nude lip liner if you don't have a purple lip liner)
- Make sure to conceal your under eye circles well as the Purple can really highlight the blue and purple tones under there.
